|MEDICAL & OTHER EXPENSES – UP TO RM300,000
We will reimburse the actual necessary and reasonable medical, surgical or hospital charges and emergency dental treatment charges incurred as a result of accidental bodily injuries, illness or death during the journey.
HOSPITAL INCOME – UP TO RM5,000
If you are admitted to a registered hospital outside of your home country due to accidental bodily injury or illness sustained during the journey, we will pay you RM250 a day, for up to 20 days.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL EVACUATION & REPATRIATION
MSIG Assist will evacuate and make necessary transportation arrangements to the nearest hospital when medically appropriate. MSIG Assist will also arrange repatriation of mortal remains if death should occur outside the Home Country.
LUGGAGE AND PERSONAL EFFECTS – UP TO RM5,000
We will pay or reimburse loss and/or damage to your luggage and personal effects subject to maximum of RM500 for single article, pair or set of articles except notebook up to RM1,000.
LUGGAGE DELAY – UP TO RM800
If your luggage is delayed for more than 8 hours from the time of arrival at scheduled destination outside your home country during the journey, we will reimburse you for purchases of essential items such as toiletries and clothing.
PERSONAL MONEY – UP TO RM800
We will pay for your loss of cash and travellers’ cheques due to robbery or theft during the journey outside your home country.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS – UP TO RM5,000
In the event of robbery or theft of your passport and/or travel tickets outside your home country, we will reimburse necessary additional accommodation and travelling expenses incurred in obtaining the new permit to continue your journey.
CANCELLATION – UP TO RM18,000
We will reimburse your necessary pre-paid (non-refundable) expenses in your home country if your planned trip is cancelled due to illness, accidental bodily injury, death or fortuitous cause beyond your control to you and/or your immediate family.
CURTAILMENT – UP TO RM18,000
If you need to curtail the trip due to accidental bodily injury, illness or death of your immediate family or travelling companion, we will pay the non-refundable part of your trip in proportion to the unused days paid in your home country.
TRAVEL DELAY – UP TO RM2,500
In the event of the scheduled carrier in which you are booked to travel is delayed, we will compensate RM250 for every 8 hours of delay at each destination, up to RM2,500 maximum.
MISSED TRAVEL CONNECTION – UP TO RM250
In the event of your confirmed onward scheduled aircraft, sea vessel or train is misconnected and your next transportation is made available after 8 hours, we will compensate you up to RM250 for the inconvenience.
TRAVEL OVERBOOKED – UP TO RM250
If your confirmed scheduled aircraft, sea vessel or train is overbooked, we will compensate you RM250 if there is no alternative transportation is made available to you for more than 8 hours.
MISSED DEPARTURE – UP TO RM1,000
If as a result of failure of public transport services to get you to the departure port, airport or train station (as stated in your ticket) during the initial departure from home or from the place outside your home country, we will reimburse the necessary and reasonable accommodation and travel costs incurred.
ADDITIONAL COSTS OF RENTAL CAR RETURN – UP TO RM1,000
If you are unable to return a hired car due to accident or hospitalisation, we will reimburse you for additional costs of rental car incurred.
PERSONAL LIABILITY – UP TO RM1,000,000
We will pay for your legal liability to third parties for injury and/or loss of or damage to property.
